Submission guidelines

TEST Magazine publishes only original material that contributes to the software testing and quality assurance industry. While a majority of our content is written in-house, you are welcome to send us an idea for an article or a completed article at any time.

To submit an article, please first study our Editorial Calendar, to see what topics and themes we are covering (we plan each issue around 6 months in advance), and study past issues of the magazine to acquaint yourself with our style.

The best advice is to write only about the topics you know best and with which you’ve had experience.

We will consider original articles that are vendor neutral, focus on software testing and QA topics and are written for an audience of senior executives. Articles should be between 900-1300 words in length, and submitted with an author’s headshot and short bio.

Submitting your article or outline
An e-mail message with the article or outline pasted in the email body should be sent to [email protected] Use “Submission” as the subject in the email. The email should include (1) the author’s name, (2) the title of the article, (3) an abstract of no more than 150 words, and (4) relevant information about the author, including work affiliation, years of experience, mailing and email addresses.

In sending work to TEST Magazine for possible publication, the submitter attests that the work is original and that he or she is the author, that it has not been published, and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

It is the responsibility of the author to obtain permission for the use of any copyrighted material, including images.
